Development Officer Laura Baines
Laura Baines, our Gymnastics Development Officer, will be adding to this page as developments occur. Currently Laura is working with clubs and schools to identify what to include in her gymnastics development plan. Recently she has been spending time focusing on KS1 Gymnastics, using England Gymnastics’ ‘Key Steps’ Resource. Laura is very pleased at how this work has had a demonstrable impact on pupil skill and confidence levels, and at how teachers have used Laura’s support to improve their own knowledge of the sport, and their confidence to teach it. Laura is also working with clubs to create a clear pathway for gymnasts in all disciplines. She has been mentoring young and aspiring coaches through their UKCC Level 1 coaching awards and supporting them to improve their coaching skills.
